Ferrari’s Pinoy workers are one in 500

The Italian Ferrari has been called a "dream car" by the rich and powerful the world over.

One of the most luxurious cars around, the Ferrari is ranked with the Lamborghini and the Maserati, which also happen to be Italian models.

Many Filipinos even try to smuggle the Ferrari into the country, hoping to avoid its multi-million taxes.

Unknown to them, six Filipinos are privileged to be among the small workforce putting together world-famous Ferraris, ABS-CBN Europe News Bureau reported.

Europe News Bureau Chief Danny Buenafe said these Pinoys work at the main Ferrari production plant in Maranello, Modena, Italy.

Two of them, Armand Amodia and Michael Amista, are two of them and they work on the bodies of Ferrari race cars being used in big-time Formula One racing championships.

Both Armand and Michael grew up in Cebu. While Armand is an expert at building fibreglass bodies for Ferraris, Michael is an expert at chassis work on the Ferrari.

They both worked as composite technicians for commercial planes.

The Ferrari plant in Modena boasts of almost 3,000 employees, and only six are Filipinos. And because these cars carefully assembled and thus very expensive, Ferrari only produces 6,000 cars every year.

Armand said they now earn double what they used to and all six Pinoys there are happy with the benefits they are given, benefits like free housing.

In fact, Armand and Michael were part of the team who made the Formula One racing cars of world racing champions Michael Schumacker and Kimi Raikkonen.

Naruto

Naruto is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto with an anime adaptation. The main character, Naruto Uzumaki, is a loud, hyperactive, unpredictable adolescent ninja who constantly searches for recognition and aspires to become a Hokage, the ninja in the village acknowledged as the leader and the strongest of all.
Kishimoto first authored a one-shot of Naruto in the August 1997 issue of Akamaru Jump.[1] The plot differed substantially in that Naruto was the son of the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox instead of being the container, and the story was placed in a more modern setting.[2] This early version of Naruto already had the ability to transform into a sexy young woman - but when he did so, a fox tail sprouted. Kishimoto then rewrote the story to its current form, which was first published by Shueisha in 1999 in the 43rd issue of Japan’s Shonen Jump magazine. As of volume 36, the manga has sold over 71 million copies in Japan.[3] Viz Media publishes a translated version in the American Shonen Jump magazine. Naruto has become Viz’s best-selling manga series.[4] As of February 22, 2008, the first 27 volumes are available in English.
The first of two anime series, produced by Studio Pierrot and Aniplex, premiered across Japan on the terrestrial TV Tokyo network and the anime satellite television network Animax on October 3, 2002, and is still being aired. Viz also licensed the anime for North American production. The first series lasted nine seasons, while Naruto: Shippūden began its first on February 15, 2007.
Naruto debuted in the United States on Cartoon Network’s Toonami programming block on September 10, 2005, and in Canada on YTV’s Bionix on September 16, 2005. Naruto began showing in the UK on Jetix on July 22, 2006. It began showing on Toasted TV on January 12, 2007 in Australia, which features the German dub opening, although it could be watched on Cartoon Network in 2006.

Titanic Movie

Titanic is a 1997 American romance film directed, written, produced and edited by James Cameron about the sinking of the RMS Titanic. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet as Jack Dawson and Rose DeWitt Bukater, two members of different social classes who fall in love aboard the ill-fated 1912 maiden voyage of the ship. The main characters and the central love story are fictional, but some supporting characters (such as members of the ship’s crew) are based on real historical figures. Gloria Stuart plays the elderly Rose, who narrates the film in a modern day framing device.
